Via 3L has an international freight forwarding division. Our team handles door-to-door transport by road, sea, and air – we work with over 1,000 regular customers and run around 400 scheduled departures a week to 75 countries.

Estonia and Latvia are close neighbours with deeply intertwined economies. Latvia is one of Estonia’s largest trading partners: in 2025, Estonian exports to Latvia reached roughly €2.08 billion, while imports from Latvia stood at about €2.53 billion. Because both countries belong to the EU single market and the Schengen area, there is no customs control at the Estonia-Latvia border – goods move on a single transit document, quickly and without red tape.

The distance between Tallinn and Riga, around 310 kilometres along the Via Baltica (E67) highway, is typically covered by truck in 4 to 4.5 hours. That short distance and well-maintained road network make road freight the natural choice on this route – faster and more flexible than sea or rail – suiting full loads, part loads, ADR dangerous goods, temperature-controlled cargo, and 45′ HC PW extra-height, extra-width containers alike.

Via 3L runs daily scheduled departures on the Estonia-Latvia-Estonia route for both full and part loads. We rely on our own and partner trailers and containers across Europe, and our container and air freight division can arrange FCL/LCL shipments in 20′ and 40′ containers, along with customs documentation and cargo insurance whenever needed.
